Welcome!
I’m Courtney…..owner of Basq.
I have been a Beauty Therapist for 24 years. My first job was as a massage/beauty therapist at Hepburn Spa Resort in Daylesford. I then worked at a pharmacy – running the small beauty room there, Ella Bache (as 2IC) and then took the leap and started from the ground up to open Albury’s first Day Spa in 2006. I was owner/operator there for 8 ½ years until it's sale in 2014.
For the next few years after the sale, I worked for 2 prominent Dermatologists as a Dermal Therapist.
They quickly worked out I have an exceptional eye for detail and a gift for picking up new skills quickly. I was appointed 2IC and was lucky enough to learn and perform a wide range of medical & cosmetic treatments for them, such as CoolSculpting (I was fortunate enough to be flown to San Francisco for CoolSculpting training!), Fraxel, Microneedling, Deep Peels, various lasers & IPL.
The opportunities and development I received while working at a Dermatology clinic were priceless - but after a few years away from my own business – and after using the time and my experiences to reflect; I decided it was time to come 'home' to what I love.
I opened BASQ BEAUTY SPA & WELLNESS in June 2018, after spending 6 months with my dad – fully renovating the building in South Albury that had been vacant for 12 years.
In addition to my years as a beauty therapist, I've undertaken my CIDESCO international beauty certification and am a qualified Trainer & Assessor - having taught Beauty Therapy in the TAFE system as well as at various high schools throughout Victoria over the years.
I'm also a Reiki therapist and yoga teacher, I've studied different components of naturopathy and nutrition and have a passion for not only 'beauty' but mental wellness and inner health.
I am passionate, I have a thirst for knowledge, an eye for detail and love making people feel good. I have seen both sides of being a therapist - both as an employee and as a business owner. I have never forgotten where I came from and I have never forgotten how hard it was to secure my first job as a Therapist out of college. I strive to continue to nurture and grow Therapists while I can.
I also have 3 kids and love to travel….it’s my why and my happy place.

With over 2 decades of experience in Day Spa and Wellbeing therapies and products, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and an intuitive, and nurturing presence to every person she works with. As a Diploma qualified beauty therapist, wellbeing coach and hypnotherapist, her passion lies in helping others feel and look their best while creating the life that represents their true authentic blueprint.
She has a deep understanding of the outer and inner beauty, the nervous system, emotional wellbeing, and the power of touch and presence that allows her clients to feel seen, supported, and completely at ease in their mind, body, and soul.
Her approach is both professional and heart-led. She creates a beautiful, safe space for others to exhale, reconnect, and feel deeply nurtured.

Brooke is a busy boy-mum (with 4 boys at home!) and brings with her a Bachelor of Health Science.
She is a highly skilled Dermal Clinician with over 6 years of experience in the aesthetics and skin health industry.
Experienced in advanced dermal therapies, laser technologies, and evidence-based skin treatments, with a strong focus on patient outcomes and clinical safety.
Brooke is an award-winning practitioner, recognised as Top Manager for Victoria (2024) and Top Performing Hydrafacial Therapist for Victoria (2025).
She is passionate about combining clinical skin science with advanced technologies to deliver transformative patient results while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Absolutely, especially during busy periods. Please book your appointments in advance to receive your preferred date, time and therapist. Most treatments require a 20% deposit.

Payment Options We accept Eftpos, PayPal, Bank Card, Mastercard and Visa. AfterPay and ZipPay is available in-store for all product, service and gift voucher purchases.

When cancelling or rescheduling your appointment, please be aware that we have especially reserved that time for you. We request that you provide us with 24 hours notice or a cancellation fee will be charged.
This fee is 20% of the total treatment cost if 24 hours notice is not given. If less than 2 hours notice is given, you will be charged the full price of your treatment total.

We most certainly do! Our gift vouchers are available for all treatments and open amounts. Payment can be made over the phone and the voucher sent to you or the recipient. Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years and must be presented upon redemption. Gift vouchers are not refundable. You can also find a link on our website and booking site to online vouchers.

Complimentary on-site, all day parking is available at the front of the spa in Wodonga Place or in the car park next to the building. You will also find ample all-day parking in Ebden Street.

We recommend you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment for all spa treatments. This will allow time to unwind and complete the necessary health questionnaire before your treatment. Arriving late may minimise your spa treatment as we endeavour to commence and conclude all treatments as scheduled.

To ensure all guests enjoy their visit to Basq, we do request noise is kept to a minimum. Please turn mobile phones and other electronic devices off or silent while in a treatment. Please be mindful of the energy you bring in.
